Dr. Verena Horman first joined Scripps in 2013 as a postdoctoral scholar. In 2020, she became an Associate Research Scientist in the Climate, Atmospheric Science & Physical Oceanography (CASPO) division. Her research interests include upper-ocean circulation and dynamics, air-sea interactions, surface waves, Lagrangian observations, and drifter technology. Dr. Hormann received her Ph.D. in Physical Oceanography from the University of Kiel, Germany.
